Our pain medicine department brings together physicians specialising in the management of acute and chronic pain refractory to conventional treatments. The approach is resolutely multimodal: medications, interventional procedures, hypnosis, complementary therapies and holistic patient support.
Multimodal pain management
Chronic pain is a complex condition requiring a comprehensive assessment integrating somatic, psychological and social dimensions. Our pain specialists develop individualised therapeutic plans combining drug treatments, interventional procedures and non-pharmacological approaches.
Interventional techniques
When conventional treatments are insufficient, targeted procedures under fluoroscopic, ultrasound or CT guidance may be offered: epidural injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency neurolysis, PRP or spinal cord stimulation. These techniques act directly on pain pathways.
Neuromodulation
Spinal cord stimulation represents a major advance for patients suffering from refractory neuropathic pain, particularly after back surgery (failed back surgery syndrome). Our pain specialists evaluate each patient to identify candidates who may benefit from this technology.
